The Superior Child Abuse Prevention Council announces the availability of their request for proposal for the Denise Marth Memorial Grants. The grants will be awarded for child abuse and neglect prevention programs. Total funds available are $3,000 and are for one year. Application is open to all groups. Any questions may be directed to the Council Coordinator Rhys Edwards at 482-9077. Applications are due by March 31th and can be mailed directly to SCAP at PO Box 832 Houghton MI.
Download Application HereSCAP Council has a limited amount of funds to give to local projects, and will give preference to new direct service projects. The funded project should address child abuse and neglect prevention for children ages 0-18, and relate to SCAP Council's Prevention Plan. We are a coordination group, not a funding agency. We cannot assure continued funding. Grants applications become available in January and are awarded some time in the spring.
Requests for grant proposals are issued annually by the state Children's Trust Fund. All applications must be approved by the Superior Child Abuse Prevention Council before submission to the State. For more information, click here Grants are due to the state by June 6th.
